Why doesn't a potato grow eyes when its in the dark? Because it doesn't need them since you can't see in the dark. This riddle of sorts came out of a small conversation about whether you could just plant a potato and it would grow. That point actually has very little to do with the rest of this article but it certainly got me thinking.

So many people over the course of history and very much so still today, choose to remain in the dark. It's as if they don't even have eyes at all. Truth lies in wait to just be seen but so many just blatantly refuse to accept it. They sit in the dark root cellar just waiting to be soup when instead they could be seeing the light of life and being fruitful and multiplying by planting themselves in the word of God and going from one soul saved to a harvest of souls for the Lord!

If you're going to be a potato, use your eyes, allow them to grow and be rooted in the Word and produce a plentiful harvest of future potatoes that will do the same!

"But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9 NLT
