Sleeping on a cement floor isn't quite what it used to be! Waking up after only a few hours of very restless sleep due to some pretty achy muscles and bones; seems to take me longer to recover from these days. As all the kids rave about how surprisingly well they slept, the effects of my age become more and more evident to me.

The fun and joy of campouts and Youth events as a whole still remain even after all these years. For the time being the fun and joy still outweigh the effects they have of my physical body. Isn't it amazing how the Lord brings joy to our soul and the Spirit brings uplifting to your heart through fellowship. Even when the body is weak, the Lord is strong and if we are doing God's work, and finding joy in it, he provides a way for us to continue to serve Him and bring glory to His name.

"That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10
