This week I will be revisiting my life verse at least one
more time. Proverbs 3:5-6 “ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, In all
thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy paths.” ALL… For
such a small word, it is a very inclusive word, it covers a whole lot of stuff.
However, for many, it can be a very intrusive word as well. We don’t want to
give God our all. We don’t want him meddling in our innermost parts, the things
we hold on to tooth and nail. But guess what, He created those inner most parts
and He knows you inside and out. (Proverbs 20:27 “The spirit
of man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the innermost parts of
his being.”) He’s already seen and knows those things we refuse to release
into his control. So instead of holding onto all those things we think we are
hiding, that we think no one knows about, release them ALL to the Lord, trust
in Him and allow Him to show you a better way than ALL those things you are
hanging on to. We think we know what’s best for our lives but the truth is, we
really have no idea what we need, only God knows all we need. And once we seek
him with ALL that we are, it is so freeing and there is so much peace
that floods upon our lives. (John 8:32 “and you shall know the truth, and
the truth shall make you free”)
