It has been a full year that I've been writing this article and still it feels so new to me. I have the hardest time remembering to write it without being reminded. It's so strange to me that I cannot remember it week in and week out. I can usually scrape something together pretty quickly so it's not like it's a huge time commitment. I enjoy writing so it's not like it's a chore or something I don't want to do, yet I can't seem to get it done on time. This can certainly be likened to all other things related to my Christian walk; prayer, scripture reading and memorization to name a few. I've been a Christian for nearly 30 years and still these things don't come easy. It's not that I don't want to do any of these things yet the demands of daily life often distract me from my walk with God. I must be intentional with my prayer time, with my scripture reading and preparing for teaching classes. Hopefully it doesn't take me 30 years to get in the habit of writing my article (for Pastors sake if no one else, ha!) but as I've improved my practice of following Christ it flows into other areas of my life, helping me be more prepared and organized; a closer walk with God does wonders in unexpected areas of life. So here's to hoping he continues to guide my hand and as we enter this next year of articles that I become more scheduled and prepared with spirit lead words (and that i get them turned in early!) Thank each of you for reading along this year and for your kind words of support for my writings.
