"Patience is a virtue" I hear people quote this
all the time then their patience is tested. In my head, I always hear Mrs.
Duncan saying, "patience is a fruit of the spirit and a gift from God, we
must use the gifts He gives us." A virtue and a gift indeed it is but boy,
does your patience get tested in a place with so many inconsiderate people!
I'll admit I've not utilized this gift as well as I should this vacation as the
heat and human nature have gotten the best of me from time to time, however, in
the same instant I'm losing my patience I am reminded that God is ever so
patient with me and I am exceedingly grateful for that as well as the blessing of the
chance to be in this place, at this time, with my dear family. Thank you Lord
for all your gifts both great and small.
"But the Holy Spirit produces
this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness," Galatians 5:22
