Ivy Sue and You

Dedication: the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. Loyalty: a strong feeling of support or allegiance. Perseverance : persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. These three words and their subsequent meaning, are the true definition of Pastor Duncan's time at Mountain Bible church. I'd venture to say perseverance has the highest relevance. He’s never given up on this congregation even in spite of the congregation giving up on him many times. Kind words aren't always spoken of a pastor nor his wife. Sermons aren't always taken with honey. Yet he continued all these years to teach us the truth of God's word. His knowledge and biblical world view have been a blessing and asset to me for his entire 30 years. I'm blessed to have already been part of MBC when the Duncan's came along, therefore allowing me to be part of his full tenure is this place. Through this time so many seeds of wisdom have been planted in my heart by He and Mrs. Duncan. Many of these seeds have developed throughout our time in youth ministry and many are still to flourish I am certain in the years to come. I am blessed and thankful to have had Pastor as my pastor. As time goes on and Mountain continues as God leads in the future years, the legacy that James Duncan leaves on us will not soon be forgotten. Thank you Pastor for all the leading, teaching, guidance, and wisdom throughout these years. I have been blessed to have you these 30 years and will continually blessed to have you as long as the Lord leaves you in this place. Thank you for leading by example that when "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 Congratulations and God Bless!
