4-4-20

During this time it's very easy to feel helpless, and that's ok, you don't always have to "do" something in every situation. I know that's hard for some of us to hear or realize because so many of us are do-ers and fixers. But we must know that helpless and hopeless are not synonymous.

Just because I can't do anything to fix the current state of our world, doesn't mean nothing is getting done. God is working, God is doing what He needs to do. God is doing a work in us. He is causing us to just be still and know that He is God. He is allowing rest for some, inspiring compassion in others and yet in others He is testing to see how they respond to His leading. We may be slightly lost in the uncertainty of the times but we can be certain that when we put our faith in God and trust that He is working; our feeling of helplessness will turn to peace and hope.

"I lift my eyes up to the mountains— where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth!" Psalms 121:1‭-‬2
