Scotty's grandmother asked me to bring home this beautiful
flower arrangement from his aunt's funeral. She didn't have room for them and
wanted someone to enjoy them. I truly did enjoy having fresh flowers in my
bedroom, they smelled so good and were so lovely to wake up to each morning.
But now, after 2 weeks, they've all wilted and withered away, their fragrance
remains but its different, it has changed. Through our life, things change,
people change. Sometimes as quickly as the flowers and sometimes slowly over
years. But even through all this change in the world, one thing remains
certain, "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God
stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8. Trust in the Lord and His unfailing, never
changing word to get through ad the changing uncertainties of life.
