As I sit here in the mall with Riley, taking a break from
shopping, I start thinking about what to write in this week's article. We are
people watching and there are children riding around on motorized animals and
we are eating Dippin' Dots which are referred to as the ice cream of the
future; it suddenly occurs to me, we are in the future!! I also said this to
Scotty earlier this week when he sent me a news story about a man inventing a
rocket pack to fly around. The future can be scary because there is so much
unknown, even realizing we are in the future was a bit of a scary realization,
however, when we know what our true future has in store and who holds our
future, we can find great peace in knowing God is in control even in the most
uncertain times. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
